ACAT8015     Design Structures B

A two-hour seminar in Semester 2.

Prerequisite
Successful completion of Design Structures A or equivalent.

Aim
To further explore conceptual compositional structures and their application to the visual and sonic domains.

Content
An overview of more advanced principles of mathematical thinking, including principles such as graphs, games, Lyndenmeyer systems, filters, deterministic fractals, descriptive topology, non-deterministic fractals, chaos and catastrophe theory, vector fields and vector calculus.

Assessment
Assignments involving the application of some of the above topics-100%.
